Faced with the Church’s call to build a Global Educational Pact from the situation of pandemic in which educational needs have intensified, we want to advance in the 7 pointers where Pope Francis challenges us.
-
Put THE PERSON at the center of all educational process, to highlight their own uniqueness, beauty, singularity, and at the same time, their ability to relate to others and to the surrounding reality, rejecting the throw-away culture.
-
Educate others and ourselves to be receptive and to welcome THE MOST VULNERABLE and the marginalized.
-
Encourage the full participation of the GIRLS and the YOUTH in education.
-
Safeguard and take care of OUR COMMON HOME.
-
Count on the FAMILY as the first and indispensable educator.
-
Listen to the VOICE OF THE CHILDREN, ADOLESCENTS, AND YOUNG PEOPLE.
-
Commit ourselves to search for OTHER WAYS OF UNDERSTANDING THE ECONOMY, POLITICS, GROWTH AND PROGRESS, so that they may be truthfully used at the service of the person and the entire human family in the perspective of an INTEGRAL ECOLOGY.
What do we aspire?
-
Start the process of establishing the Global Educational Pact (GEP). We mark the pre-chapter year as the beginning of this process.
-
From this starting point, what we want is:
-
To know what GEP is, what it consists of, what the Pope intends when proposing it, its horizon and intentions
-
To generate a network between different institutions, educational communities and countries of the Congregation at an educational level and be aware that we are part of a bigger network
-
To open our educational gaze to today’s reality, make ourselves available for dialogue with the challenges of today’s world and ask ourselves the value of being involved in education apostolate
-
To give voice to all groups that make up the educational communities and relate with them (educators, families, students, youth, religious)
-
To cater diverse and flexible opportunities to enter into relationship and shared reflection
